WP Advisor Connect Fixed Income
THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA FOR FIXED INCOME
 MARCH 26, 2024 |1:30 PM - 2:30 PM | VIRTUAL

This webinar has been approved for 1 CPD credit each from IAFE and FP Canada.

Fixed income has resumed its place in the spotlight. Predictions of a central bank pivot and the likelyhood of yields resting higher long-term than they did before the pandemic have brought investors flocking back to the asset class.

This renewed interest, however, raises new questions around duration and the classes of fixed income that offer the greatest opportunity for risk-adjusted return. It opens the conversation, too, about the place of other strategies like alternatives & covered calls which served to stand in for the low yields fixed income previously offered.

In this panel, moderated by Wealth Professional Senior Editor David Kitai and featuring leading industry experts, we’ll examine the challenges facing advisors and portfolio managers in the bond market.

This interactive panel will delve into where the opportunities and risks lie in fixed income, what products to use, and the strategies advisors can deploy to make the best of today while still preparing their clients’ portfolios for the future. Topics to be covered include the general view of fixed income before and after this most recent central bank hiking cycle, where yields will fall once inflation is “tamed”, and what is the global picture for fixed income?

  • Current opportunities within the subsets of fixed income
